Johor Cultural & Sports Club

The JCSC ( then known as the Johore Civil Service Club ) was formed in early 1920. Located at No.623, Jalan Sungai Chat, Johore Bahru, JCSC is the oldest and established Town Club in Johor.

When the club was first established the members consisted mainly of the higher echelons of the Civil Service-namely the British. Outsiders such as Planters and managers were admitted sparingly.

The practice of encouraging civil servants to join the club has continued to this day substantially reducing the entrance fee payable to them.
